Habitat for Humanity 2009

August 22, 2009—Old Saint Mary and Three Holy Women Parishes are completely sponsoring a Habitat for Humanity House this year—providing both the finances and the labor required to help the Ruffin family build a home.

We kicked off the project with the Weekend Blitz, when the Ruffins and our team constructed the outer shell of the house. After a month of helping with other projects, we returned to the Ruffin house. Over the next few weeks we are tackling insulating the home, building walls and closets, and reinforcing corners.
