Beacon Moms Group – Monday

Beacon Moms Group – Monday

Calling all moms! Moms with children of all ages are warmly invited to join the Fall 2021 session of Beacon Moms.

The theme of this session is “Becoming Who We Are: Finding our Identity in Christ.” This theme is inspired by James Martin, S.J.’s book, “Becoming Who You Are,” on Thomas Merton’s spiritual writings about the “true self.” Merton says, “If I find Him I will find myself and if I find my true self I will find Him.” In other words, God desires for us to be the persons we were created to be: to be simply and purely ourselves, and in this state to love God and to let ourselves be loved by God.

We will explore what these insights mean on a practical level and consider how to incorporate them into our everyday lives. We will strive to live out Merton’s calling for us “to be a saint means to be yourself.” (Thoughts In Solitude).

Moms group will explore this theme in six sessions that occur every other week beginning in October. To ensure that our Moms Groups are here to serve your needs during these challenging times, we are offering three different options for you to be part of Moms Groups:
